I particularly was looking forward to Diane kicking ass, but we only ever really get one awesome moment out of her when she punches through a supposedly unbreakable barrier. This is especially frustrating after so many of them are hyped up as 'the strongest of the deadly sins', or 'the prince of fairies'.

The fights only ever focus on Meliodas and Ban 99% of the time, with the rest of the sins just acting as accessories. Ban is pretty funД«ecause of his aloof yet silly attitude, and the rest have some decent humor, but this is definitely not a high point of the series. The characters don't undergo any sort of development across the series, and for the most part are bland and boring. Sure, the characters are known by their sins, but rather than be actual embodiments of said sins, they were simply granted them as derogatory titles, so they fail to stand out as shounen manga characters in that department.

I went into it hoping for a nice twist on the seven deadly sins being the good guys, and some awesome fight scenes, and ended up sorely disappointed. My experience of this anime can be summed up by the word 'meh'. With their help, she endeavors to not only take back her kingdom from the Holy Knights, but to also seek justice in an unjust world.

Ten years later, the Holy Knights themselves staged a coup dвЂ™Г©tat, and thus became the new, tyrannical rulers of the Kingdom of Liones.Д«ased on the best-selling manga series of the same name, Nanatsu no Taizai follows the adventures of Elizabeth, the third princess of the Kingdom of Liones, and her search for the Seven Deadly Sins. They were defeated by the Holy Knights, but rumors continued to persist that these legendary knights, called the 'Seven Deadly Sins,' were still alive. However, a small subset of the Knights supposedly betrayed their homeland and turned their blades against their comrades in an attempt to overthrow the ruler of Liones. As it is, it's difficult to recommend the series knowing the colossal disappointment that's in store for any viewers hooked by the first season.In a world similar to the European Middle Ages, the feared yet revered Holy Knights of Britannia use immensely powerful magic to protect the region of Britannia and its kingdoms. Netflix or whoever is paying for these to be produced should hire a new studio and just delete the first release of season 3 from existence the franchise would be vastly improved as a result. This was particularly frustrating because the excellent first season is revealed to just be the set up for the story that this season is supposed to deliver on, so it retroactively drags the whole series down with it. The animation is so bad, I barely made it through the first episode of season 3 and just turned off the second episode halfway through out of disgust. Where the first season has flashy abilities and dynamic combat, the third season is barely animated at all, using primarily still shots where the camera pans over a static image, trying and failing to create the illusion of movement. The 'animation' is so low quality it's amazing any self-respecting studio would put their name on it. It's so incredibly bad that it drags down the whole franchise. Unfortunately, season 2 is extremely short, just a few transition episodes between the first story arc and the next, and season 3 is a travesty. A little more fan-servicey and lecherous than I'd like, but no moreso than the average anime. The first season of this show is fantastic fun, high action, flashy visuals, interesting stories and characters, the works.
